There are a lot of “manuals” how to do street photography. Most of them are crap and focus mostly on technical aspects. Others tell you how to shoot people in the streets like they are wild animals in a nature reserve. I am not really a good street photographer but what I’ve learned so far is this: To do good street photography you have to love and respect people and everything they do and learn to edit for god’s sake. Ditch your zoom lens and stay in the open, the chance that you get punched in your face will help you to adjust your attitude towards other people. Play nice, walk a lot around and if your photo is crap it won’t help anyone to convert it to black and white.
